Its been a week,<\/p>\n
and its my twenty third tweek.<\/p>\n
Six months this year,<\/p>\n
Feeling quite dear.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I’ve got to run,<\/p>\n
and its found.<\/p>\n
Not healing myself,<\/p>\n
when others around.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Its progress of course,<\/p>\n
but in light of making things worse.<\/p>\n
Careful to see,<\/p>\n
How I’ve affected thee.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The study progresses,<\/p>\n
future and past.<\/p>\n
Checking the records,<\/p>\n
forever going fast.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It’s a forgone conclusion,<\/p>\n
It’s written in bygone.<\/p>\n
It’s hitting you hard,<\/p>\n
as I pray in the sun.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The tears run freely,<\/p>\n
trembling hands prevail.<\/p>\n
As all of our elders,<\/p>\n
continue to fail.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They’ve helped themselves,<\/p>\n
taking for granted.<\/p>\n
All of the kindness,<\/p>\n
they’ve incinerated and lancered.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Caught in the pain,<\/p>\n
caught in the lies.<\/p>\n
Caught in the fleese,<\/p>\n
surrounded by fly’s.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They’ve sought out riches,<\/p>\n
sought out fame.<\/p>\n
Sought out pleasures,<\/p>\n
just to refrain.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So again we go,<\/p>\n
speading the love.<\/p>\n
with winged tipped heals,<\/p>\n
and floating like doves.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Stepping wide,<\/p>\n
stepping long.<\/p>\n
Stepping around,<\/p>\n
still singing my song.<\/p>\n
