I’ve seen the words,
\nI’ve seen whats wrote.
\nWhat I aint seen,
\nIts a corona’d goat.<\/p>\n
They tell me plan A,
\nB or C.
\nThey tell me were doomed,
\npronto
\n for all of thee.<\/p>\n
The enemy is hidden,
\ndown deep
\n between drops.
\nThe virus ring fear,
\nIn all those little globs.<\/p>\n
I’ve read all manner,
\nof scary senario.
\ntyped up the banter,
\n‘case I was to go.<\/p>\n
Keeping olds is
\nfraught with danger,
\nheaven help
\ntheir clumsy demeanour.<\/p>\n
Now we’ve got,
\nan invisible foe.
\nSomething surely,
\nthat must must go.<\/p>\n
no cases
\nno strains
\nno fear holding reigns.<\/p>\n
I’ll tell you now,
\nwhat I’d like to hear.
\nThere’s a cure that its fixed,
\n– nothing more to fear dear.<\/p>\n
But we know the prize,
\nfor winning this war.
\nIs constant vigilence,
\nknowing what’s behind each door.<\/p>\n
They’ll be more,
\nthey’ll be less.
\nBut its not up to you – to make a good guess.
\nHave faith young one – You’r with all the rest.<\/p>\n
For we all see,
\nIt’s hard to have tea.
\nWith social distancing,
\nwith you to me.<\/p>\n
There’s cleaning hands,
\nand washing keys.
\nWipeing handles,
\nspraying seats.<\/p>\n
Recycled cups needing – fumigating.
\nutensils put away – hibernating.<\/p>\n
cups and plates,
\nmight make it clean.
\nBut it wont be from the
\nlack of steam.<\/p>\n
Gloves and masks,
\nhats and specs.
\nYou wouldnt know,
\nwe we’re meant for this.<\/p>\n
On the other side,
\nof their argument.
\nthat nothing be good,
\nand nothing be kept.<\/p>\n
Wouldn’t work for anyone,
\nwith an ounce of respect.
\nIs a henious crime,
\nThey should weep and suck eggs.<\/p>\n
There’s many lives,
\nmaybe you and me.
\nOther diseases,
\nKilling our cups of tea.<\/p>\n
So they could save,
\nthey could fix.
\nThe very thing,
\nThat’d break our mix.<\/p>\n
less disease,
\nless due death.
\nIt’s gotta be good,
